It’s been a while since I last visited Pizza Rustica. I have very fond memories of this spot, but tonight’s dinner was thoroughly meh. I’ve talked up this place on the Toronto food boards, but I can’t really continue to recommend given tonight’s mediocrity.
We arrived at about 7:00 on a Friday and sat at the […]

We rounded out our week in Cambridge with a visit to Eastern Standard Kitchen. ESK isn’t actually in Cambridge, rather in Boston’s Kenmore Square… but we needed sustenance after our day at the MFA.* This was our second visit to ESK, and it was just as good as the first time.

The Boston food boards are always talking up Central Kitchen (Cambridge). I thought it might be disappointing after all the hype… but the place is almost perfect – loved it. We arrived about 9:00 on a Wednesday night. The vibe here is warm and relaxed, intimate and devoid of that rumpled, academic feel that you […]

East Coast Grill is a cute local spot in Cambridge, known for seafood and bbq (interesting combo!). The restaurant is bright, busy and very blue, with charming and quirky décor. Bar was full on a Wednesday evening, but we got a table without a wait.

But I accidentally found myself at the Monday Club Bar (Upstairs’ “downstairs” sister resto) during RW, and had a lovely time.
I had never been […]

I’ve been eagerly anticipating dinner at Kultura. Mr. Rabbit was sure this place would be style over substance, but I convinced the Rabbit-sister to dine with… I sooo hate it when Mr. Rabbit is right (and apologies to Rabbit-soeur).
We arrived without reservation on Friday of a long weekend. We were told that they were fully […]

Arrived at this pretty College Street bistro late-ish on a weeknight. Restaurant appeared empty, but the back patio was packed (and it is lovely).
This is a nice, neighbourhood resto. Started with a reasonable bottle of French rose… chowed down on baguette with lovely lentil dip while pondering menu. We were amuse-d by a salmon mousse […]
